Electricity in Nigeria: A Deep Dive Into The Value Chain

According to ThisDay, a Nigerian national newspaper, over 76 million Nigerians are not connected to the national grid.  Since the 1990s, Nigeria has suffered from an electricity deficit which has negatively impacted the economy. Specifically, the commercial and industrial sectors with a loss of productivity, surge induced damages in equipment, increased operating cost, and loss of revenue.   There are many reasons for this electricity deficit which we will break down further in this report.
